Hi all!

First off sorry for the most awful video ever - I thought it might help to explain (Video here on Flickr).

This rummy's been swimming like its tail is weighed down for about 4 weeks now (you can kind of see him trying to stay straight) - today I noticed him thrashing about for a few seconds and now I'm concerned. The only other noticable feature is on one side he appears to have discoluring inside, I can only describe it as bruise like.

Every time I search I get results to swim bladder problems - could it be this?

Our water parameters are all normal & I did a 40% water change on Sat

Ammonia = 0
Nitrate = 20 / 40
Nitrite = 0
PH didn't test
Temp = 23
Soft water

I'm not sure about this. I had an emperor tetra doing the same thing minus the bruise like discoloration. I tried everything. Finally gave up and waited for him to die. Well, he didn't die. He swam like that for 6 months or more. Yesterday I thought he was gone, but much to my surprise, he was swimming with the school and doing fine. I worry about the discoloration on your rummynose. Is there any way you can get a pic of that specifically?
