I have been into planting a tank for less then half a year. I planted my tank according to what I think is nice, I think there are some "rules" to follow in aquascaping the tank. Does anyone knows about any web site with this topic or can anyone shares some info?

If you do a google search on 'aquascape' and 'golden ratio', you'll find a number of excellent articles that explain how the golden ration can be applied to aquascaping to produce an effective composition.
George Farmer has also written an excellent series of articles that cover the basics of aquascaping

(I would post some links, but don't want to start breaking any forum rules about posting links to other fourms.)

However you're already following the most important rule .......

.... it's your tank and whilst we always find ourselves striving to improve our designs (and always should), unless you are looking to enter competitions, what pleases you can never be totally wrong.
Even if that involved day-glo gravel and plastic skulls

Haa... an amazing reply.

I always like to do things according to what I like and what I think is nice. After started the tank and planted & scaped it then I read about all this focal point, golden ratio, etc. This made me a bit skeptical in "am I doing the right thing". :)

Anyhow, thank you for the reply and I am happy with what I have set up till now, but of course I will learn more and do better. :)
