Ruby Shark

Hi,

Just a question when I got my Ruby Shark it was black with red fins. Within a couple of weeks the black colour has faded to a pale balck/grey.

Any ideas as to why?

just does lol its not acctually meant to be black. the red tailed black sharks are black. no need to worry

The colour should still be pretty dark tho. How pale is it ? It could be streesed etc

Also is he in your Rena Aquarama 80 ? I would say a 90ltr tank is to small for a ruby

Yes he is. The lfs said it would be ok although I have noticed he has started chasing most of the other fish.

The body is reasonably dark but the end of the tail before it goes red is still dark black like the whole body was 2 weeks ago.

Exactly what mine looks like and about the same size!

Does that mean that this is how they should look like or something possibly wrong?

thats a rainbow shark i have one exactly and they are aggressive if u have another one for it it will just chase each other and leave others alone they dont attack just chase each other i found it goes well with others
