Ruby Shark + Sae ?

Hi Everyone,

I was just wondering what everyone thought about having a combination of a Ruby Shark and a Siamese Algae Eater living in the same tank, would they fight?

The tank would be 48"x18"x15" (215ltr) with plenty of plants.

What are your views is it possible without any friction between them?

Is the SAE similiar in temperment as the CAE?


I would imagine if it was, you should have some caves for the shark to establish. I was going to put my CAE with my rainbow shark and was advised to make sure they were in a big enough tank to where the the shark wouldn't pick on the cae. I think since they are a similiar fish, there would be some aggression. Try researching suitable tankmates for each and see what you find. I've never had either personally so I'm not sure...
