This is a bit cheeky - feel free to move delete it but I DO NOT work for the shop
I purchased one of these little fellas a while after they had them in at least a few months ago - he's really plumped up and is a remorseless algae eating machine with his lovely big lips
Brilliant small plec.
However all the others (around six of them) are still there after about two months, the shop is pretty low quality imo - went in there last friday and several tanks had ich in them (indeed I had to treat my rams for this after adding the plec to the tank) and there are often dead fish.
Normally I wouldn't buy from there on principle (we only did cause we couldn't get a rubbernose elsewhere). The only reason I'm posting is they haven't got much algae to eat and are looking distinctly skinny now (especially compared to my fat one) - If I had a big enough tank to buy them all and breed them I would - but until I get my own place I can't. These are relatively rare in the area (the local MA had never heard of them when I asked and they aren't a bad price - think it was about £8.95 for one) and its quite upsetting to go back every fortnight and see them still there.
So anyhoo, maybe this will make me feel less guilty about not buying them all
