Well,

My RTBS(red tailed black shark.) is bitting my 2 new tiger barbs, and i'm afriad it well kill or harm them.

Will it? If so, how can i prevent it?

Thanks

it was fine with the frist tiger barb.....

Yes it has a cave, it is a (fake) panther skull thing.

this is what it looks like.....

If the tanks to small for him he will be more aggressive they like there own territory in the tank.
Is he still chasing the barbs now.

It is a 8 gallon or so.

And he is kinda claming now.....

but if they get in his way he kinda jumps.

Oh yeah, i just put the fish in 10 minutes ago, so i guess that is another factor.

Thanks a bunch...

This is his cave, im not sure if it uploaded on the post above....

Oh yeah that not the acctual thing, the acutal is more enclosed and such....

Take him back to the lfs an 8 gallon tank is far to small for a red tailed shark.
Research the fish before you buy them.
To be honest the tiger barbs shouldn't even be in that size tank either.
I would place the tiger barbs for now in a container at the top fo the tank,.

Well, if introduced a aggreisve fish 2nd to the tank after i have all my new fish in, we he still be attacking when i put him back in?

Thanks

I don't know if he will attack them again.
How long has your tank been set up.
What are your water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
How many fish and which type apart from the red tailed shark and barbs.

Well it is been set up for awhile.

Maybe 2 years?

I am not sure what the levels are, but we go to a place and they test it, they say it is alright.

Well there are 2 Barbs and the shark thats it.

I would take the shark back to the lfs they need no less than 40 gallon tanks.
If the shark goes for them again I would put the barbs in a container at the top of the tank till you can rehome the shark.
Change the water after a few hours.
Do you have a little airstone you could add to the container.

Hmm, well i have had the shark for like 3 months so i dont think they will take it.....

And one of barbs is a Jumper.....so i dont know if i can put it at top...

Right now the shark is in a plastic containter, maybe the size of a icecream containter.

And i dont have a airstone, if you mean like the airpump.

I have always wanted to buy one and i plan on buying one....

I do have planets for oxygen...

What a mess.
I would still rehome the fish as it not far on him being in such a small tank.
They need room to move there not small fish.
I don't no if the barbs will still be in the tank if you let the shark out he might eat them.
You will need to keep changing the water in the container as it will soon get polluted with waste.

What a mess.

Haha it really is not as bad as it sounds, it is acctually quite clean. I clean it regullary and such.

Well thanks for the help. im gonna see how it goes...

Thanks for everything

A meant a mess in the situation not the tank.
