Hello,

I have had my RTB shark in my tank for aver a week and it does not seem to eat to much it is only 2" but was wondering if they eat flakes as this one seems not to. I did put frozen bloodwroms in 4 days ago which it ate(try to keep this to once a week). It looks like it scours the tank for Algae is this enought for it. Tank is 260 vision all water cons are good The tank has 8 very small green Tbs and 5 Zebra Danios and a very sick Red dwarf Gourami wont eat just sits in hiding all day took it out my 60l biorb as it was bullied very badly by the other male gourami(is it kinder to take it out?) Tank has been running for about 6 weeks. Any help appreciated thanks.

Firstly you should have 2 female dwarfs to every male dwarf, this cuts down aggression between the fish and stops only one fish being bullied. I never see my RTBS eating either but he has grown from 2 inches to 5 inches so i assume he does get some food. these fish are like hoovers, they will gobble up any flake or bloodworm which drifts into it's teritory, but this generally only happens at night as they are night-time eaters, they will scavange the tank at night and find whatever they can to eat, dont worry, hes probably feasting ;)
