My betta got cotton mouth from a frog. The frog died and the betta has been hanging in there for nine days now. We have gone though a full cycle of treatment with Melafix, Maracyn and Maracyn 2. Five days in, directions said change 100 of the water and start again. So I did. And the betta seems to be not taking it so well. Today is day two and so that it did not kill him last is great. I am just nervous about it. That he is not really getting better. Or is even getting worse. What can I do?
His upper lip has come off (or so it seems). And there is still some white where it was but I am not sure if that is the bacteria or the exposed flesh. He had some spots but they are done. And he had been eating a little here and there.
