Rosette Plants For A 15G

I'm after some rosette plants for my 2ft tank.

A friend of mine has a massive amazon sword, but i'm not quite sure how to propagate it. You can't just remove a leaf from the base and simply plant that can you?

Also, amazon swords are monsters, and would probably take over my tank!

Are there any echinodorus species/rosette plants that would be more suitable for a 12" tall tank?

theres quite a few that would go well red melon sward is a nice 1
