Rope/reed Fish!

score! i found a huge tank at the thrift store today- only 19 bucks! i've be really wishing my tank was big enough for a rope fish, now that i have 35(?) gallon set up (with hood) i can finally indulge myself. i'll be moving my whole community over in the next day or two. so i have 3 main questions: 1- will the rope fish get along with my other fish? (3 male fancy guppies, 1 male molly, 1 x-ray fish and 1 small goldfish
2- if i move over the water from old tank will i have to cycle?
3- any rope fish tips?
the rope fish at my LFS are full grown (about 12 inches) so i'm ready for the size of them.

Goldfish should NOT be in with tropical fish!! So please don't put it in with them!

1. I'm sure the reeds will find them yummy
2. yes, unless you move across the filtration as well
3. board up any holes, make sure the tank is at least 260L
