So I thought I would have a go at it but I don't think it looks half as good as the likes of them in the TOTM posts so what are your opinions? It seems as though I should have them bunched closer together but what do you all think? Any criticism is welcome and I mean ANY although try to be as nice as possible I am just starting out. This is roughly how it looks it's swapped about a wee bit but please tell me you thoughts."]This[/url] is roughly how it looks it's swapped about a wee bit but please tell me you thoughts.

it seems you haven't copied the link correctly. I can't see any pic or link for your tank.

aquascaping a tank is all about personal prefrence at the end of the day . those plants will fill out given time . a good place to learn about plants and aquascaping is the plants and planted tanks section. there are some very knowledgeable members there that can help you get the most out of your planting .

I actually think that's a nice set-up already.

I'd think about introducing some tall plants at the back. Vallis is normally easy to grow and spreads quickly given enough nutrients/light, or cabomba might be another option.

Also, the placement of the heater.....I'd try and mask it as it currently draws your focus to it instead of the actual scape features. Maybe tuck it behind the filter, or stick it to the side of the tank opposite the filter?
