Rocks From The Sea

Hi there. I am lucky enough to live on the coast and found an area of beach were there are some truly stunning rocks. I intend to put them in my aquarium and make a nice feature with them.

My question is, how would I go about preparing the rocks so they are suitable for my tropical aquarium?

Boil them, scrub them also bleach them (1 part bleach and 10 parts water), then wash the rocks very well to remove any bleach.

Personally I wouldn't do it. Never know what kind of metals and whatnot are in the rocks that could leech into the tank.

What will be the difference between the rock from the river and rock from the sea?

I have used the rocks from river/lake before, I just clean them well and boil them, however, I am not sure if the rocks from the beach will raise the PH or have any other effect.
