I just got a new light for my betta tank because I noticed that the one that I had went out partially, I have had it in for a day and not one of my pieces of dragon stone is turning green. The only thing I could think of is it has a blue mode that is dim that I had on at night, any reasons this could be happening

it's blue green algae (Cyanobacter bacteria).

have white light on the tank. Fish don't live under pure blue light, they need all the colours so it looks white.

I only put that light on at night, should I just never use that one

I wouldn’t use any light during night , fish do need periods of darkness
