What is a good TDS reading for my RO water seeing as i have just bought a new RO unit wich came with a TDS meter

Should be about 1/50th of your input TDS. So if your tapwater reads ~100ppm TDS, your RO water should read ~2TDS. If your tap's a little more dirtier (400ppm), your RO will be more like ~8-10.

Basically if its less than 10ppm, its functioning properly.

Should be about 1/50th of your input Total Dissolved Solids. So if your tapwater reads around 100 parts per million Total Dissolved Solids, your Reverse-osmosis water should read around 2 parts per million Total Dissolved Solids. If your tap's a little more dirtier ( 400parts per million), your reverse-osmosis will be more like ~8-10.

Basically if its less than 10 parts per million, its functioning properly.

i just retyped skis post.... The quote is what he wrote without abreviations.

All the damn abbreviations. You may as well be talking in binary code for all I can tell.

 Sorry about that, I guess I'm a little used to the abbreviations :shifty:

Thanks for the translation Musho :good:
