Has anybody used JBL Aquarium to remineralise ro/Di water. How does it compare to using seachem equilibrium plus buffers.
My local aquatic store suggests I use JBL Anybody have any thoughts on this.
I don't know anything about JBL for minerals, but I'm curious why you want to use RO/DI water? Some think they need it, some cut very hard water (liquid rock) with it, etc. What's your reason?
Subject to your answer to @AbbeysDad I don't use seachem because you need at least 2 products and a degree in chemistry to use it. It also doesn't dissolve fully and makes the water yellow (despite what the packaging says). No experience with JBL but I use Salty Shrimp GH/KH+, it has simple dosage and the results are exactly as predicted on the label. My reason for RO is that I have a blend of liquid rock and liquid nitrate in my taps.
I use ro/di water because my tap water is too hard for my requirements. I have my own RO/Di unit and I can control the water parameters of my aquarium.
I have always used seachem equilibrium with acid and alkaline buffers to achieve ph7 kh 3-4 and gh 6-8
Just wondering if using JBL Aquadur would be easier and cheaper.
