Ok
firstly have been looking into investing in a RO unit but am concerned that there must be some waste from them which prob requires draining off somewhere, being that im in a flat drainage could be a prob am i right in assuming this?
Secondly with RO water how long can I store it for topping up my tank in a sealed water container, as I am having to buy it at mo and dont want to top up with poor quality water?

The "waste" water can be run down any drain/toilet/etc or it an be stored and used to wash clothes, water plants, etc. The RO water can be stored in just about any plastic container with a lid on it. Doesnt have to seal, just needs to keep dust out. Remember, RO water is just nearly pure H2O. Keeping it in a plastic container will be just fine :)

ski you obviously type faster than me as just asked you same question on the other topic  so does that mean that i can store water for a long period of time before it has to be ditched?

Yup. With a dust-covering lid you can prolly store RO water for months if need be. Remember, its just water :)

Yep Ski's right as usual, think about the bottled water you buy in supermarkets. It has a shelf life of YEARS. Personally when I had my old RO unit I used the water for washing the car and watering the garden etc.
