I have a 55 gallon tank about half full of rock. Been going for about six months. Water peramiters stay good, but accasionally I have a problem with hair algae. I think it is the water I am using as two other friends that have reef tanks have this problem. I want to know if an RO system is the way to go? If so, is the method for mixing the water the same with RO water. What are the differences?

Thanks

Totally the only way to go. Using RO water eliminates the possibility of you inputting fuel for hair algae via the water you change with. There is no difference when mixing RO water. Just put the appropriate amount of salt in a bucket with RO and stir it with a powerhead and heat it with a heater. Same procedure :)
