Lol, first make sure you've got it hooked up right ;). If you're SURE its hooked up properly, you need what's commonly referred to as a booster pump. Not sure how readily available they are in the UK. If you're unable to track one down through aquarium hobby means, look into gear pumps through industrial suppliers.

ski, you and i and a few other people are like the only americans here.... Makes it hard when UK people ask for product help and where to get it....

What is the temp of the water and whats the GPD of the unit?

Do you have a pressure gauge connected to the RO unit? If so whats it reading.

If you do need a booster pump, I'm sure you'll be able to get one at Osmotics.co.uk or ro-man.co.uk.

No pressure gauge! Looked on the website, going to invest in a new pump!

the little guys are going to have new water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cheers guys

even if you get a new pump, a low PSI wont give you much water.

But without pressure the membrane won't work. Remember, flowrate comes from pressure differential and an RO membrane requires high pressure differential before it will allow water to flow. A booster pump is a gear pump which drastically increases the pressure before the RO membrane to give a much higher differential, somewhere well over 30PSI usually. They're loud, but perfect for the job.
