hi all, i was just wondering if the ro filtered drinking water machine from work is the same as the Ro filtered water from your lfs?
if so happy days lol

It should be, I would question why you need RO before you can drink the water though, its quite expensive

i work for a health insurance company, they have to be seen to care for their staff lol but im not 100 percent if it is an ro unit, i looked on the back of the water machine, which is attached to the mains, it has a white canister on the back from a company called aquasafe, with a red or blue or eevn white cable coming out of the back of that, which is attached to the drinks machine? does that make sense and do you think it is an ro filter?

It can be the same or similar, depending on the exact membranes which the filters have.

From what I understand about the process, "aquarium" RO filters leave almost nothing in the water (which means that minerals and buffers need to be added back), while some of the filters for drinking water will only remove *some* contaminants. Basically, you need to read about the specific RO filter you have installed at work.
