could i add river shrimp to my planted tank any benifits?

judging by the price there nothing special but would they help algea wise and not eat the plants?

thanks

If you mean something like ghost shrimp then they would probably eat mostly scraps of food left over from your other fish, sometimes even eat it before they do has they can usually detect food in the water faster than your fish. Not sure how good they are at eating algae to be fair, they might eat a bit if they cant get anything else but its highly likely they will get your fish food.

If by river shrimp you mean typical feeder shrimp, no- they're cold water brackish and die within a few hours in tropcial freshwater tanks. If they lived in freshwater everyone would have them.

to be telling the truth i put a box with this algea stuff in and after a week it was full with green algea and my fish go thhier to nibble and they love it
