River Shrimp

does anyone on here catch their own river shrimp for feeding their fish? A local fish shop recently mentioned that someone local supplies all their river shrimp so figured if its easy enough then why not have a go. Just wondering what sort of setup people might use and whreabouts in estuaries is best? The nearest rivers/estuaries to me have quite wide muddy banks but there are a couple of quays that are also nearby. I used to go prawn fishing off harbour walls with a drop-net, and was wondering if it would just be a case of doing the same off the quays, or whether netting with a hand net is the way theyd go about it.

well been messing about with a hand net off a dam wall a couple of miles up a local river, got about 2 dozen after a half hour or so, but got freezing cold in the process and nearly fell in a couple of times!! Gonna try dragging a drop net up the dam wall at the weekend. Tried netting around the mud flats in a local estuary but no joy there. Any other suggestions for getting decent numbers would be welcomed!!

Maybe some sort of bait and trap? Not sure what though, but I know I'd come up with more ideas if I could come with ya Good luck and don't fall in!
