River Rocks

I recently went to laughlin, and I brought back some rocks from the colorado river. Will that be fine to put in my fish tank...Oh, and how many pounds of sand per gallon? thnx in advance

It depends on the type of rock it is, you can do a simple test with some viniger or lemon juice (acid), putt a few drops on the rock if it fizzes i would't recomend using it as it will alter your PH, if it dosn't you should be safe once you've give them a good clean.

Just do the test as simonbrown403 said. Usually river rocks are alright, but it depends.
