Night61
Fish Herder
i usually don't get this gutted over the lost of a guppy i have lost both of my original females these last few months, not before they passed on many beautiful kids. but the father of those kids, has been in the family for over four years. he started as my brothers fish a rescue from wal-mart, my brother says he saw him all alone in the guppies tank and felt sorry for him, so he adopted him. that guppy out lived all the rest of my brothers guppies and started to annoy my brother, because he was an aggressive little guy when it came to other male guppies. finally this fall my brother was thinking of giving him to a pet store, and i protested, at this point i had only had bettas, but was interested in expanding my fishy world so i adopted the little guy. i always called him Mr Guppy, i dunno i just wanted to him. he was the inspiration to me building my big community tank. he was ecstatic when i introduced the two female guppies, i don't think i have ever seen a fish so happy, even if the girls were not always thrilled with him. he fathered many beautiful children, a couple which still have his orange coloration.
i know he was an old fish, 4 at least, but to find him the way i did...brakes my heart. 4 years...that's a good age for a guppy right?
anyways rest in peace mr guppy.
this is what he looked like
