Just thought I'd share a photo of Martha the Fahaka's new home. She was placed in there yesterday and is having great fun exploring all the room! Not that you can see her, mind. :D

Apologies for the size, but I wanted to give a believeable idea of the width. Still doesn't do it justice...

Oh, indeed she is. She particularly likes the galleon (the half that's on the sand), she'll sit in it for ages.

Sadly, there's really no other fish I can house with her. A pity as all the bogwood in there is screaming for plecs. :D

Im suprised nobody has said this...... TOTM!

I really like that tank....I wanted...Gimme me

Beautiful!  I know Martha's gotta be enjoying all that room, and first class aquascaping. ;)

Not to be a pest, but if it's not too much trouble could you get a pic of her sitting in the galleon if you can manage it? Thats gotta be a cute sight to see.

Oh yeah, I also second that nom...man I wish I had that tank.

We'll try!

But as soon as we approach the tank, she comes to the glass begging for food, so it's hard to get a photo of her at rest.

Thanks for he Noms!

Feed her, then take pics. Puffers always calm down after eating. :p

Third.

Cant you keep plecs or loaches with them? In a tank that big you'd have thought it may be possible.

Unfortunately not, fahaka's are the most aggressive species of freshwater puffer and cannot be kept with anything.

It certainly seems a shame with all that space.

That looks SO great! Very very nice.

I'd love to see more pics of Martha too -- I just love puffers, they have to be one of the neatest fish ever.

great tank

cant you get more of those puffers? Also why does she need such a big tank to herself? Does she get like really big?
