Rio 240 Question

Hi guys, me again with my endless questions about anything that comes in to my head...

Was speaking to a few guys today about my tank (rio 240). I have i placed on my kitchen work top. They said have you got it on polystyrene? I said no. They said I should look it to getting one.

My question is, should I? The tank is full now and I cant see what its like underneath whether the glass is flush on the surface. Can anyone with a rio 240 tell me if it is as I dont want to slide mine off the edge to look as it could crack with the pressure.

I checked that the work top was level before I put it there and filled up. Its perfectly level so no worries about that. I also cleaned the surface before setting it up, so will be no dirt underneath.

I've got a Rio 400 on its stand without any polystyrene, seems ok. The whole point of polystyrene is to to ease pressure from uneven surfaces given that you're pretty sure the surface is flat i think you should be ok

I will know for sure when my Rio 240 gets delivered on Saturday afternoon, but I believe Juwel tanks come with an intergrated pressure relieving system, so the polystyrene is not needed?
