Ring Aroung My Angelfishes Eye

hi all,

i came home from school today and looked at my tank and noticed my angelfishes eye was swollen. it looks almost like a ring of bubble around its eye. any ideas on what it is? do i need to treat it? thanks a lot for any help.

How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Is there to much aeration in the tank.
Is the eye bulging out.
Any redness to the eye.

it's 180 litres (40 gallons) nitrite is high and has been for a while but is slowly comming down and the eyes have a slightly redy shade to them anyway. i dont THINK it is pop eye as it is only a swollen ring around the eye not the eye itself

Why is your nitrite high. Is the tank still cycling.

How many fish and which type.

It sounds like the eye problem due to the high nitrite reading.
Water changes and increase aeration.

the nitrite is high because i added to many fish to soon as i didn't realize the danger i have 15 silvertip tetras, 2 dwarf gouramis, 2 julii corys, 2 common plecs, 2 green tiger barbs, 1 redtail blac shark and the angel. i think the eye is caused by and injury or traumer but im not sure

Until water quality improves the eye won't get better.
Water changes and increase aeration.
If the swelling gets worse, get back to the board as you might need to use a bacterial med.
