Rimless Fluval Edge?

Hi

After getting annoyed with the stupid opening at the top (Head + Brick Wall And Repeat) i have decided i would like to take the top glass off mine and turn it into a rimless tank would make everything sooooooo much easier with this tank, feeding, general maintenance.... everything!

has anybody tried this? i have done a quick search and nothing has came up, if anybody knows of any posts with the same idea with pics/videos what eva to show me what it will look like would be a great help and how would i take the top glass off? just sharp knife and cut around the seal at the top?

see a would but the edge is perfect for the limited space i have as its in my bedroom.


and a dont think it will make any difference to the structure as it looks like its all been put together then the top piece just put ontop and glued together
a have seem a rimless edge but i cant find the site i found it on
