The underside of my pink ricordia (which you can see when it closes up at night) is progressivly turning a brown colour, although the foot is still a pale colour. I am sure it wasn't like that when I first got it 14 days ago. It unfurles as normal every day. My stats are good and I have moved it up a bit so it gets more light. Is it dying?

not descriptive enough. could be changing symbiotic algae, could be dying. Is the pink pastel or opaque? If so it was already in trouble. Ive seen a lot of stressed corals sold as pinks.

Thanks for replying, Adrinal. The ricordea looks fine in the daytime (when the lights are on). I'll try getting a pic up of its brown underneath which is still worrying me.

Trying again...

Its color may just be the result of a change in zooxanthellae growth due to your specific lighting, flow, and chemistry. It does however look healthy and even appears to have budded an offspring which is usually a sign of good health.
