I have a tiny 2litre glass cube tank and was thinking of a tiny Iwagumi tank with CRS, it has no light but I have heard people putting Riccia in a bucket and leaving it in direct sunlight to get it to grow before they attach it to something. So I was wondering if its possible to put riccia attached to a slate in it and just putting it on my window sill to get it to grow. What do you think?

i have loads of riccia in a propergator on my windowsill, it only gets daylight and is fine. It's growing quite well.

Coooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool!!!!!!!!!

the only problem i could think of is getting over run with algae, as it'll be near a window. There's no harm in trying though Steve.

Yeah, the tank has no filter either so was thinking of a water change every two days as its dinky and adding tpn+ 1ml every 2 days, sat messing around with the rock formation for hours today before I put them in so I don't get tempted to fiddle lol.
