Riccia Mixed With Salvinia ?!?!?

i bought off ebay java moss, salvinia and riccia and apparently the riccia is mixed in the salvinia and when it starts to grow itll be easy to separate. well it all looks like salvinia to me but is there anything i can do to speed up the process like making the riccia sink to the bottom somehow?

Why would the riccia sink to the bottom, it's a floating plant? Maybe run the wole thing under some water to try and separate it?

It's how i separated out my riccia and duckweed when i wanted to remove all the duckweed from my tank.
