I bought some riccia from ebay a while ago, covered a log with it and wacked a hair net on it (brown net...invisable underwater - tried clear/blonde first and it showed up to easily)

3 weeks on the riccia had got very "bushy" so i just grabbed clumps and pulled them off...it was so bushy that i pulled off enough to do a new log yet still left the original log with lots off excess plant above the line of the net (so it looks great)

today its all pearling like a lemonade so i assume its doing ok......just wondering how long i can do that for......will the stuff just keep growing or will the lower levels "wear out"....right now the stuff i uncovered is bright green and looks as good as the fresh stuff i "harvested"

T

ps- at this rate i migt start selling it!

Thats awesome. Ive been looking for some as I've been told its awesome.

If you do end up selling it.,.. let me know... I might be interested, depending on where you're from.

Yeah I've been trying to find cheap riccia (my lfs sells for 20 USD for this teeny bag) but so far it's been pretty expensive. If you live in the US and would like to sell it, I would be intersted.

(although i had a disaster with the tank in the last pic, most died but you'll see in the sig i saved quite a lot)

i could sell at least £30 a month worth if i could be bothered. (One trick pony had about £30 worth a couple of weeks ago from me)

your in business my friend.

Edit: i just read your picture thread, awesome tank i'm with you on the spend £100's on plants, chuck them all in and see what happens theory but wouldn't recommend it to anyone with a partner (they seem to have a problem with throwing money away on fish stuff!!! cant understand it myself. :D ). it can get a bit vocal in my flat at times oh well, 57 fish and 1 female human - she's outvoted, sorry love. -_-
