Well I might buy some Riccia Fluitans offline, and it comes in a 2 inch by 2 inch square.

Is this an adequate amount to start off with?

it grows much quicker when left floating, so if you do find that you dont have enough then just leave it for a week or 2

So if I buy some, I can just throw it in a tank with water, light and an aerator for a week or 2?

Than after that I can use it?

I want to strap it down to my mopani wood with fishing string or a hair net or something.

what i did, was get a tub

fill with tank water

flot it in the tank water

then get the riccia, and break it up, and place it in the tub, and lave for a week, i changed the water now and then
