Hi All,

whilst killing time at work "surfing the web for all things fishy" i came across this

Planting instructions

no excuses now people, it's a lovely plant and well worth the hassle and fiddle of setting it up.

before you ask i have no idea where to get the mesh but improvisation is the key.

Hi once again jimbooo,
I seen this idea before and it works well. Heres a thought. You know in summertime when you see Stickleback fry round the edges of a pond feeding amongst the moss/algae on the pond wall. I wonder what it would be like to construct walls of riccia (tank back and two end panes) using the method in your post. Do you think this would be effective coupled with low growing plants and some bogwood.
What are your views on this, or anyones views for that matter. What would be the pro's and con's of such a project.

Nice find lol im glad im not the only 1 frittering work time away (im building a tank hood at the moment but its getting harder to convince the boss it has a practical use for my work environment :D )

hi BigC. in theory it would work but not if it's totally vertical as the bottom 1/2 would not get enough light, if you placed the "walls" so that they slope outwards it should work.

you'd need about £150 worth of it to line a 40 Gallon though back and sides.

i've gutted my 12G AGAIN :*) to try a simmilar thing. riccia everywhere, i'll post pics when it's done in a few weeks.
