I have had 2 Fresh Water Tanks but never had to use Reverse osmosised (if osmosised is even a word) water before but have read i have to use it in a saltwater tank. is this true or can you still use a dechlorinator

Thanks

Its strongly recomended since tap water often contains nutrients that can fuel algae growth or be damaging to corals. Reverse osmosis water is almost pure so you dont get any contamination.

I not sure about fish only, you might be able to get away without reverse osmosis if your tap water is super good, but I would still reccomend it.

fish only or reef setup, Ro water will help reduce algae blooms. I strongly recomend RO is used in either system.
