So I have come victim to Old Tank Syndrome. Ever since that nice 50 gallon reef tank came along. I know it's terrible. At its prime, there were about 10 fish in there, and the water sprite was growing beautifully, the walls, rocks, and gravel were clean. Now, fish have been slowly dieing off, I have euthanized to end pain, or prevent it. There is algae, and it is a mere shadow of what it once was. It is a 30 gallon

I am going to remove all the watersprite. This will also remove nitrates etc w/e

And I'm probably going to start from scratch. Maybe I'll make a cichlid tank. But I really like live plants... I dunno...I enjoy kuhli loaches and other bottom dwellers (I love my siamese catfish) I dont know, I really like kribensis too. And Iv'e always wanted some rams (Microgeofagus ramirezi) Hmm... i'm gonna test my levels

pH: 7.5
nitrIte: 0 ppm
nitrAte: cant find test
ammonia : 0 ppm

Not as bad as I thought...

So I think i may get rid of the watersprite, clean the top layer of gravel, clean the rocks, clean the bogwood, clean the walls, i already cleaned all equipment, and i think ill buy some new plants, depending on what fish i get... Suggestions?
