Hi everyone.
Obviously I'm brand new here to these forums, but not "new" to the hobby of tropical fish-not exactly! I've been out of the hobby since the mid 90's. I first was introduced to it when I was about 10 yrs old when a friend's family got a 55 gallon aquarium. I remember thinking just how HUGE that was and how much I loved it. About a year later my parents got me a 10 gallon aquarium and was in the hobby until I was about 19 or 20....I ended up even dabbling in saltwater with live rock etc (in the same 10 gallon tank I had originally got when upgraded to a 29 gallon freshwater)...I ended up trying to go into the all natural biotope tank, live plants etc but it ended up being just too much work. (The salt tank was really hard) and at that age well, with a cross country move etc I just kind of fell out of the hobby...for lots of different reasons, however because of some upheavals in my life in recent years I've decided to try and get back to things I once loved and aquariums is one of those things. So, now I'm just trying to figure out how far and deep I want (and can afford) to get into the hobby as I think in my previous ventures I tried just too much and it kind of sucked the fun out of it...more work than enjoyment and I don't plan on making that mistake again. Anyways I hope to learn as much as I can and get some ideas from people....I even dug out my old magazines and books I had in storage and have forgotten almost everything. Hopefully I can refresh my memory.
