Anyone have one of these external filters??
Got one today had a nightmare putting it together as the instructions were absolute c**p!
Thing is there was 2 bags of black stuff looked like charcoal?
It said nothing in the instructions of where to put it what it does or anything?
Thought one of you kind people could help me out?

never heard fo the filter but the "charcoal" you refer to will be carbon for chemical filtration.

Personally I would only put it in your filter when you have had to medicate your tank for any reason and need to rid the tank of the rest of the medication.

Apart from this I don't think it carries much of a function.
