Fish Fanatic
First, we'd happened upon a few mishaps with our 50g that went unnoticed. Namely, our titanium heater which was guaranteed for like ever decided it wanted to crap out on us. As in, no more heat. One of our Tetras developed a swimbladder problem and swims in barrel-rolls, and the female Angel took a nose-dive. My dad decided to remove the dying plants and found the tank was freezing.
So, we have a new (old?) heater, and are planning to replace the losses of our 50 ASAP. We're replanting and getting a few new fish; another Angel, a few Platies for the juvie to grow with. I was just wondering on some input; which types of plants can grow in a large tank with many schooling fish? We'd like some that grow quickly, but not like a weed. Not Val, we have Val already.
As for my ten gallon, the guppies have taken up residence in the 50g. They can spew out babies all they want, the filter and other fish will eat them. I was wondering what kind of small, schooling fish can get along well with a male Betta in a planted ten gallon?
Thanks lots!
