restocking question

Hello,

I just put my 3 danios, 5 neon tetras, and one red-tailed black shark into a 50 gallon aquarium.Now I have a question. I was wondering, what fish could I put in my new tank? it looks so empty now, I need some more fish.

I'd start off by adding much more neons and danio's. Schoaling fish not only do better and get braver in shoals, but they look much nicer too. In a 50 gallon I'd even do 20 neons and perhaps 10 danio's.

Otherwise you've got endless options, surely you've got something in mind that you like?

20 neons?!?!? sounds big, but I guess I could give it a try. I havn't really thought about getting any different fish, I thought about tiger barbs, but they would probabally cause too much trouble.

Ah, neons take up no space at all and don't contribute much waste. Once they're in there you'll see, it's not so bad.

Neons are very calm fish though. They should have plenty of cover, and I wouldn't keep them in a rambunctious tiger barb tank. Consider a smaller group of larger tetra's, a group of rasbora's, gouramis, catfish and/or loaches, shrimp... So many options.
