Hey all i went to a diffrent LFS today but found myself buying a helpless baby oscar, hes in a very bad condition, fins for and scales bitten off and he was in with big green terrors right in a corner scared .. so i asked the owner how much would it cost to buy him. so he was very cheap so i got him so now im happy, hes in a small hospital tank now but he seems very happy and active..

Glad you had the heart to save him. I hate when lfs owners act so dumb when it comes to their stocking... just to save space they will do what this jerk did and I hate it... poor little oscar. Hope you can give him or find him a good home in the future :good:

at the moment my dad is looking arfter him, he nurses them back to helf and im hopeing to keep him as soon as i get a bigger tank but for now hes very small, he will be in a tank with other oscars what aint agressive towards other oscars so time will tell.

good job :good: oscars are fanstastic, lfs don't really care who and and how many fish the put them in with, they're just after making a quick buck. When i get outta this flat and into my new home im gonna be running my own fish shop sorta thing outta my garage/sleepout, turn it into a fish room it's gonna be great :)

Honestly.. buying another oscar is the last thing you should be doing..

I understand you have good intentions.. but you already have way too many fish..

I donno what else to say

Is it classed as rescuing when you're putting it in just as bad a situation?

No offense, but if you're not getting the hint that you have way too many fish in that tank, what do you expect folks to say?

I think there's a point when we have to stop wasting our breaths and sit and consider whether someone's trolling or just ignoring all advice given. Either way, nothing seems to be working - no advice has been taken so far and the kid keeps getting ore and more fish. :X

I doubt any offense was intended, but I can understand why folks might assume they were dealing with a teen/young person, considering all the advice asked, and none followed :/

I'll apologise for using the word "kid", because as Lisa pointed out, I assumed so from your postings (and soe of the content in them). However, the rest still stands - you've had tonnes of advice and never taken heed of it.

i got my fish in my 6ft now :hyper: and im not sure if i should take the other oscar back when hes fully healthed, or should i get a 90g tank and put him in there?
