i rescued a goldfish form my LPS and it was doing fine in the 44 with the other one i rescued it had back patches on it but that was it.Now its getting worse water is fine and the temp is normal water is clean etc but he/she is just sitting on the bottom not moving at all not even if i tap the glass and has stopped eating.I hope it dosent die

What colour are the patches, and are they fluffy, i would start a anti internal bacteria med on the fish.

no do u know the black tips on the picz i showed you its just them.I t just seems to have no enery whatsover

I would still try an internal bacteria med on the fish, is he eating, try some shelled peas if so does he look bloated.

ok thanks wilder im not really bothered about the black because he has had it since i got him and i think its just the way he is but im more bothered that he has no energy and cant swim very much ill try some meds

Good luck, hope he gets better, try him also on some bloodworms is he eating.

woke up thismornin and he is upside down but alive.Tried daphnia and a pea and nothing worked.I think it could be swim bladder he just floats there i dont wanna put him down but i might have to

try not feeding at all for 3 days, if that doesnt work then the possibility of a tumour on the swimbladder or a virus/bacterial infection are higher.
sorry :-(

i think i might have to uthanise him i think.he isnt eating and his best freind is staying by his side, even though that one is starting to get it.He cant swim upright and is gasping for air.He cant move one of his fins either

have you tested the water today at all?

yeah its fine dont have exact results but im doing 10% changes every day for their other problems

ok then
ive seperated it to give him some peace form his annoying friend and put him in a 1gal bowl and fed him some shelled peas whichhe wont eat and put him in a dark quiet room(my walk in wardrobe lol) is there ANYTHING else i can do?

I'm afraid not, fingers crossed but he sounds in a bad way.

you need a proper quarantine tank of at least 10 gallons. putting him in a bowl is going to end his life quicker as there will be a build up of ammonia really quickly. you would be best to euthenise him.

i didnt have time to get a quarentine tank of 10gallons or the space!!Anyway he died :rip: :byebye: :rip: :byebye:
i woke up thismorning and he was barely breathing so i decided to wait another hour and think about wether to euthanise him but hed already gone.RIP
