Will 2 albino corys be okay in a 1 gallon fish bowl in a box with blankets towels and pillows for a 5 hour trip basicly my uncle does not want to care for the fish anymore and the tank they are in is full of algae the fishbowl will also have airation the fish will go to a better home as soon as the trip is over

The fishbowl is the only transportation I have unless anyone thinks I should ask petco for the biggest bag they have and tell them it's urgent

For 5 hours it will be no problem. Fish are commonly bagged for 24 hours when shipped, I see fish bagged for 12+ at auctions all the time that have no issues at all. Fast for 24-48 hours before transporting, you can do a 48 hour ship with the right preparation. I have a friend that ships corys 2nd day using a couple of tricks with minimal losses.

Okay do you think a battery powered air pump would be sufficient and what is better the giant fish bag or the 1 gallon bowl

Oh yeah and I relized what about eBay and aqua bid they ship live fish and they don't come for 2 or 3 days sometimes

8x20 fish bag is plenty, the bowl is more than enough, don't even need a pump. Cover the bowl to prevent jumpers, keep it at a reasonable temperature & enjoy the ride! I've taken styros of fish for a 5 hour drive, they sit in an auction for 8-12 hours, the ones I buy take a 5 hour drive back home.

Okay thanks for the help they will be going with actually I think there are 3 cores but I will check next time I go and they will be adding onto a group of 3

Maybe you can put them in a plastic container like a washed empty peanut butter jar. I fear the glass may shatter and hurt the fishies :3

Use fish bags (I keep all mine, lol), not a bowl; they could get hurt if they bang into the sides or a rigid container. Two cories will be fine in a bag; blag the largest one you can and have 1/3 water and 2/3 air. They don't need an air pump or anything for that short a journey. Just keep them wrapped in a towel or blankets to keep the heat in and reduce stress on the fish.

Take your time acclimatising them too; do it in the dark and they should be fine.

okay so laying on its back flat on the ground is 10 inches across and 25 inches high is this enough for 2 to 3 corys for 5

Yes, that'll be fine. If you could tell your uncle not to fed them the day before, that would be a big help too.

you dont need a massive bag, they are not in there to be comfortable so whatever you think you are doing to provide them with a more comfy ride, it simply wont work. pack them in the same way they are done when you buy them, a couple of cups of water and then the rest of the bag air, then put them into darkness.
