30" Jewel Bow Front Tank. 150w heater, Fluval 2+ (temporary until my new 3+ arrives in a day or two). 2mm black gravel, ruined castle (doesn't look too bad really tucked away in the corner). Camboba, Amazon Swords, Stardust, Wheat Plant and Java Moss ball.

Tank cleaned and on the stand:

They all seem to be enjoying their new home, the Angels especially. All have perked up so much compared to yesterday. The water is still a little bit cloudy as I expected but it should be crystal clear by this time tomorrow.

I'm shopping in Tesco later so i'm going to look for some of their wrapping paper in a metallic Burgundy or something like that for a background.

Success me thinks  :D :good:

TBH, I'm not sure how long I will keep the Angels as I really do want another Siamese. However, I have taken them on so they won't be going anywhere just yet as I wouldn't pass them on until I am 100% sure they are OK. Fingers crossed everything seems fine so far :D

PS: Please excuse the blurry pics, they won't float still for long enough -_-

Looking good, Im glad you said about the backing, although the radiator is very attractive

Angels look nice too, Im sure they appreciate some nice clean water for a change.

Well, the tank is there for a reason - saves me painting the bloody rads

I refuse to pay LFS prices for glossy wrapping paper renamed as aquarium backing and Tesco do a 15 metre roll for £2. More colour choice too :hey:

looking good its not a juwel tank tho. tbh it looks like a fish-r-fun tank

give it a few days to settle not sure on the black gravel tho. each to there own

What makes you say not a Juwel?

Lack of big filter in the corner?

That was the first thing to change

It wasn't siliconed in very well TBH, just pulled off in my hand. It will be on eBay tomorrow unless anyone on here wants it.

Looks good, I really like the shape.

Btw you do no the what plants and probably that on in the middle right are non aquatic dont you?

let you off (just this once mind)

it must be one of them older juwel tanks so prob 8-10 years old

just the lid and base didnt look like juwel to me tbh someone may of silconed a juwel filter in its not the first time i have seen it done

oh swell

ps. i have a jumbo filter out of my 300 (brand new) and the standard one from my 180 sitting here doing nothing must have a clear out some time

Well i've bitten the bullet.

All three Tetras and the 2 Angels went to the LFS today and part ex'd for 3 Marble Mollys, 3 Platys and 2 baby Bristlenose.

They are settling in nicely. The Mollys, i'm sure, are displaying to each other ;)

mollys are worse than rabbits only got to look in my thread. lol

I have 3 platies due very soon very fat with big black gravid spot on all of them

TBH, I had half intended to have a go at breeding and I thought Mollys and Platys would be an easy introduction to breeding.

My wife already has up the duff Guppies and I wanted something different.

It would be nice if my 2 bristleys turned out to be one of each sex, but I don't think I will have any way of knowing for another 12 months at least.

I started another thread about the re-0stocked tank:

that looks lovely, i have the same castle ruin in my angel tank, what i did was stuff 2 small blue airstones inside the chimneys from underneath, and it looked fab with the bubbles blowing out of them, but yours looks fab as it is :)
shelagh xxx
