Rescape Of The 55 Gal

So today begun with me needing to do a good cleaning of the 55 gal, and ended up with me taking every single thing (except the fish) out of the tank and redoing the scape. I wanted to get some of the wood into better placement, and also to creat better hiding places for those that need them.

here is the new tank scape

I think it's great. Looks very natural. I've got 2 suggestions. Maybe you won't like either, but I think they're worth considering. With an angel in there, I guess you've got fairly softish water, so how about a twig catfish for a bit of a novelty? Also, how about considering a floating plant for on the right hand side. Obviously, the tank doesn't NEED either, but they might be nice. See what you think. It looks great as it is though.

I thought it was a bit dark, so I switched the background around from black to blue but I haven't decided wheather I like it yet. As far a s a floating plant that would be cool but it would need to be hardy becuase I have some plant killers in this tank, any ideas?

looks a stunning tank.i'd have to agree.it looks a little dark plus you have 2 malawis mixed in with your other fish.your malawis will require a different set up to the rest of your fish(not moaning just trying to help lol)

TSI I use 2 55w bulbs in a shop light fixture

And I know about the cichlids but these have actually done really well so far




I changed up the back ground to the blue whis was this morning
