Replacing My Hood

I have just recieved a 50 gallon tank that came with a few misc things like fake plants and stuff but i am going to need to buy the filter(s) and heater(s) and such. Can anyone give me some ideas for this setup? I am used to 10 gallon tanks! Also..I have every intention of keeping live plants in my tank...Should i replace the hood and get a hood that holds flourecent light? These two little lightbulbs in the current hood dont look quite adequate. Thanks!

You will need lots of light probably 2 maybe 3 tubes, with spectrums that encourage plant growth, one thing worth putting in before you plant the tank is an undergravel heater to heat the plants roots.

Another note is incandescent lights give off alot more heat than a flourescent lights
