I would like to know everyones opinion. I'm need to move all the fish from the 150g to the 75g for a MAJOR cleaning. When I move, the new tank is ready: same temps, same pH, I just net them and run to the new tank and drop them in. I haven't had any problems doing this.

Will all the fish comfortably fit in the smaller tank? You mention water stats, could you not just fill the smaller tank with water from the larger tank. Will you be transfering the filter to the smaller tank too? (If not, at least the media?)

I'll be moving 2 three inch Silver Dollars, 2 Gold Gourmies, 3 Albino Cory cats, 2 Skunk Cory cats, and 2 Clown Plecs, so crowding shouldn't be an issue. I smaller tank has been setup for over a year now. I set it up and never added livestock but it had live plants for a time. I went through the ammonia cycle and has been stable. The canister filter was from the big tank orginally.
