Ok, so it's been several months since my last post :

Currently, my rekord 96 is fully stocked I think :

5 zebra danios
6 albino corydoras
2 male dwarf gouramis ( coral blue and orange)
2 bristlenose catfish ( still tiny)
10 black neon tetras

Can I add anthing else/any suggestions

I have another question :

of my first group of albino's (6), 4 died within a few weeks of purchase, one a day. I tested the water everyday, did normal weekly 230-30% water changes, they had enough food (I think, hard to see witht he sinking wafers, they tend to eat them over te course of a day)
Any ideas why this may be?

My second batch of 4, and the remaining 2 seem to be doing well, could this be because I have more fish now to keep them company? The first ones just seemed to stay at the bottom most of the time, hardly moving, but all of them are all over the place all the time now!

Thanks

hi there,

the tanks looks full to me, it's a bit over the 1" per gallon rule, nothing too terrible though but I don't think there's room for anything else in there.

i wouldn't be too worried over the cories that died soon after you got them. the fact that nearly all of them from the same batch died and then you've had no more problems implies that they were most likely weak stock in the first place and just didn't acclimitise properly. The fact that the second lot are a lot happier and more lively supports this. Unfortunate but it happens sometimes.

If all the levels have been good since and the rest of the fish show no symptoms I'd just put it down to that and not worry about it.
