hi i am new and want to now how many inches if fish can i have in a record 80 thanks :D

Well, obviously all sorts of other factors than inches are relevant too:

footprint of the tank
swimming needs
territoriality
schooling needs
aggression/timidity
dietary needs
water requirements

and I've probably left out a few.

But assuming that you are talking a rectangular tank of 24+ inches long, smallish fish not more than c. 3 inches and have worked out all the compatibility/schooling issues, 22-25 inches would seem to be about right.

Hi there Enigma. I've just upgraded to one of the Rekord 80 tanks so maybe I can help you out. The Rekord 80 is reported as holding up to 80 litres of water. This equates to 21 US gallons of water.

The rough rule of thumb when stocking a tank is to go with 1 inch of fish for every US gallon of water which means you could stock up to 21 inches of fish. Now that you have this figure bear in mind that the substrate and furniture you add to the tank will use up some of the space the water would occupy. I would usually err on the side of caution and estimate that the substrate, furniture and the space taken up by the internal filter if you got one as part of the kit reduces the amount of water that your tank can hold to about 18 US gallons.

This would mean that you could safely stock about 18 inches of fish. Just bear in mind that most fish are sold as juveniles and will grow in time as well :good:
