ive just got one of these tanks its all been running for5 days now i added a plant yesterday and stuipdly forgot what i bought but today it seems to be sagging down slightly ive not had my light running as much as i should because ive not got any fish yet

is this the reason?

if i look to buy a better light if it just the tube i need to change or the whole thing in the hood?

Changing just the tube will be an improvement though the sky's the limit with light improvements. Many people run multiple bulbs...

The amount of light that you need will be determined by the type of plant that you have. if you do not know the name, a pic/description would help.
