Refugium Question

ive been thinking about making refugium out of a 10 gal with about 15lbs of live rock and 10 lbs of of argonite sand and macroalgea. the macro i like are smooth leaf kelp, cheat, Halimeda Plant, Maiden's Hair Plant, and Red Gracilaria Feeding Algae found here. i want the macro the contron phosphates and nitrates. and i want refugium altogether to provide more water volume and extra bio filtration. my question is would this work and how would i connect it to my 10gal nano?

Complicated question....a sump requires plumbing......usually drilling the tank, overflows. There should be some posts here on it. My 24G has a built in 'sump', ....PM Superman or Navarre. SH
